A Bronco driveway walkthrough is easier than learning the roof and storage details halfway through a weekend away. These checks use the 2025 US full-size Bronco, not the separate Bronco Sport.

1. Find the roof and door removal tool kit
Find the supplied tool pouch before planning a roof or door removal. The manual’s procedures use the correct tools and model-specific steps, so the first useful check is whether the kit is complete.
Choose a clear work area and a protected place for every removed part.
Read the instructions for your exact roof and body style. A two-door, four-door or Raptor procedure may involve different pieces and storage arrangements.

2. Practice storing the front roof panels
The front hard-roof panels belong in their storage bag, with the divider between them. The divider helps keep the panels from rubbing together during storage.
Practice the bag arrangement before you fill the cargo area with weekend luggage. Check the specified securing points if you carry the panels inside.
Ford requires the proper onboard storage kit and restraints. A loose bag behind the seats is not a safe substitute.
3. Keep the door bolts in the tool pouch
The door-removal instructions identify a pocket in the tool pouch for the hinge bolts. Use that pocket as each door comes off instead of leaving small hardware on the driveway.
Keep the bolts together with the tools you will need to reinstall them.
Reinstallation still needs the manual’s sequence and tightening requirements. The pocket solves misplaced hardware; it does not make every fastener interchangeable.
4. Check your door bag and storage arrangement
Four-door Broncos with the correct kit can carry removed doors using Ford’s bags and retention harness. The storage chapter gives a specific order and securing arrangement.
Check the body-style and equipment limits before assuming your doors will fit alongside the roof panels.
Secure every removed component as instructed. For a two-door or Raptor, use the applicable instructions rather than copying a four-door owner’s arrangement.

5. Leave room for the swing gate and glass
The rear swing gate needs room beside the Bronco, and the rear glass needs clearance above it. Think about both motions before reversing close to a wall or another parked vehicle.
Try the opening sequence in your driveway with the cargo area empty.
The Wrangler roof and cleanup guide covers the same practical parking problem on a different vehicle. Leave enough space to load without forcing a hinge or glass panel.
6. Look beneath the cargo floor
The Bronco has storage beneath the rear floor. Lift the panel and learn what is already there before packing over an item you might need at a roadside stop.
Keep the compartment organized and return the floor to its proper position before loading bags.
Our Maverick storage and bed details shows another Ford arrangement worth inspecting before buying organizers, but the compartment shapes and intended uses differ.
7. Check the washout floor limits
A Bronco with the washout rubber floor has active drain plugs, but that does not make the whole cabin suitable for hosing. Ford specifies removing mats and larger debris first.
Keep water away from the seats, console, door interiors, electrical connections and displays. Follow the complete cleaning procedure for the fitted floor.
Our Wrangler cleanup checks make the same distinction between a washable floor and vulnerable interior equipment.
8. Learn the fitted auxiliary switch circuits
Fitted auxiliary switches provide circuits for suitable accessories, but the switches do not remove electrical limits. Read the circuit ratings and wiring instructions before connecting anything.
Give each switch a clear purpose so you know which accessory will turn on.
The Ford pickup feature guide covers similar truck equipment. Have uncertain wiring checked by a qualified installer rather than assuming every switch can accept the same load.
9. Explore the fitted low-speed camera views
An equipped Bronco can offer more camera views than the ordinary reversing image. While parked, explore the available views before you need to judge a tight gap at low speed.
Check the manual for the speed and drive-mode conditions that change camera availability.
The overlooked dashboard controls explains why a camera button and a parking sensor do different jobs. Keep checking the area directly; camera images can hide obstacles.

10. Learn which G.O.A.T. modes your Bronco has
The G.O.A.T. mode choices depend on trim and equipment. Look at the modes your Bronco actually lists, rather than expecting every setting shown in another owner’s video.
Read what each fitted mode changes and when Ford recommends it. Learn the controls while safely parked.
Our Ford feature walkthrough also emphasizes matching the operating instructions to the actual vehicle, especially before trying a new setting.
11. Locate the funnel for the capless fuel filler
The supplied fuel-filler funnel is stored in the rear floor storage area. Find it before the Bronco needs fuel from an approved portable container.
The capless filler needs the intended funnel; forcing an ordinary spout into the opening can damage the system.
Use Ford’s refueling procedure and return the funnel to its storage position afterward. Do not use the funnel’s location as an invitation to carry unsecured fuel inside the cabin.

12. Find the owner manual in the touchscreen
The in-vehicle owner manual has a word-search function, which is useful when you recognize a control but cannot remember its name. Depending on the display, the app is in the Apps or Features list.
Open the manual while parked and try a search such as “roof panels.”
Ford notes that the online manual may contain newer information. Accept the appropriate updates and keep the instructions available before a trip without reliable reception.
